Weather or Not to Decorate a Cake

I was going to teach a class at MOPS today on cake decorating. This required that I prepare a cake in advance. So I baked, stacked, and crumb-coated my cake. I prepared some handouts and delivered my supplies yesterday to church so I would not need to bring all my gear plus my three year old in at the same time this morning. For some reason, that did not seem like a fun idea. Besides, I needed to be at church on Monday night for drama rehearsal. 

Except that rehearsal was cancelled and no one told me. So I didn't need to be there. Except to deliver my cake supplies.

Except MOPS was cancelled due to weather that wasn't that bad. Not their fault though as they follow the schools' cancellation policy. If school is delayed or closed, no MOPS either.

So I had to drive out in questionable driving conditions to retrieve my cake and supplies. Now what to do with the cake? Decorate it, of course! And my girls are thrilled they get to finally eat one of my cakes. I even let them decide with which style to decorate the cake. I can't wait to eat it!
