We then went to a local garden center that holds an Easter egg hunt each year but the line to get in was so ridiculous that we went out for lunch instead. In years past, there has never been a line. I guess we timed it poorly.

| A girl and her goat |
We also had some unexpected visitors stop by. Some neighbors from across the bike trail saw us out working and brought their grandchildren over to see the goats and alpacas introduce themselves. They were very nice and our girls had fun playing with the kids. You just never know what will happen on an urban farm.
Speaking of which, sometime this afternoon, I decided to work on halter training the goats. They were not impressed. At least not at first but, once we led them to the meadow, they discovered that the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence. They did not want to go back to their pasture. The poor alpacas looked on with envy. Maybe that will encourage them to halter train so that they may too enjoy the fine green grass outside those pesky fence barriers.
We then went to the farm store to get some supplies. They no longer appear to carry our goat feed so it looks like I will be going to the grain elevator again this week. Also, we couldn't leave without buying more chicks. But this time it wasn't my fault! Jon wanted to get some broilers. So now we have 15 chicks in our laundry room. For a grand total of 26 chickens.
When we got home, I realized we had not yet dyed our Easter eggs. Argh! So we quickly had to do that and then put the girls to bed.
