Morning

I never know what a new day will bring. This morning we slept in (until 7!) and the sun was shining so beautifully. So I did what I usually do. I looked out our window that overlooks the barn, pasture, and meadow. In doing so, I saw something unexpected.

Sometimes when I look out the window, I see wildlife. Rabbits, foxes, deer, bald eagles, coyotes, or turkeys. This was not any of those. This time I saw a horse grazing in our meadow! It did not appear to be attached to a human so my husband called the horse ranch next door while I ran out to see if I could find the horse, as it had disappeared behind the tree row between our two properties. The horse was gone but I saw it had taken a path between two pastures and had joined a group of horses that were also escapees. By that time, however, there were people beginning to round them up so I went back home to start doing chores.
